A truly fantastic sample of 'art speak', the usual babble that goes for expert talk in circles of modern visual art, appeared on the website of the BBC, otherwise quite correct in providing useful information.
Pollock, the 'famous' American painter of 'abstract expressionism' who 'shook the art world' with his 'unique invention' of 'drip paintings' - basically, leaving painting behind altogether and decorating the canvas with dripping paint on it - was not only completely lacking any artistic talent, but his so-called invention was not his, after all. So, even his abysmally insignificant claim for fame was a fake one. But now, with the current fashion of digging-up women, it's time for the Great Awokening:

The emergence of such nonsense, which is an offense to any human intelligence, is not an artistic phenomenon but a psychological and social one. Nothing in the world can turn nonsense, based upon absurd ideologies, into art, let alone into meaningful art. In an artistic sense, there has never been an age so dark as the last one, a darkness supported by millions of illiterati.
